Just started with work we left again for a road trip. We went once again to the east coast of Taiwan . The main reason was a Triathlon on Saturday, a 2nd reason was a visit in Augustins house.

About 3 o'clock Froggy picked us at our place up. She haven't had done all here staff and thus Thierry took the scooter to buy some food. Diego and Liz mounted the bikes on the rack and cram in all the luggage. Around 4 o'clock all of us were ready to leave and we drove to the direction south. Was a little bit of delay, but easy – it's Taiwan !!

On the road we've done some brakes for smoking and “schi scho tien”. Thanks Elisabeth charm she didn't have to pay a fee due to driving to fast and due to driving to fast we caught up soon with the 2nd convoy. Thomas, Sarah, Kathy and Pièrre. We ate dinner and drove the last part together.

After the long drive we could check in to the hotel. We shared our 4bed room with 3 Taiwanese guys. Easy – no problem!!! We searched immediately the hotel bar….

The next morning all the athletes and the coaches met for breakfast. Augustin joined us for breakfast as well and spoke - surprise surprise - Taiwanese with our Taiwan girls. Mike and Kate wanted to support us as well, unfortunately Mike had to work.

After a turbulent morning – everything had to be done in the last minute… (hair band, eating, drinking, pump the bike, suncreaming, … luckily we had coolman Diego to help us).

After a communal warm-up the first group with Kathy, Froggy and Thierry, went to the water and the start was exactly at 1 o'clock . Thomas had to start 10min later.

After 2h49min the race was finished for Thierry and soon after (2h50min) for Elisabeth. Thomas and Kathy enjoyed the feeling a little bit longer (3h6min/3h13min). Happy with our performance we went back to the hotel to relax from the workout. A hot shower waited to wash down the sand from our faces. Besides: Diego was the most tired guy … why? He fulfilled 4 Triathlon as a coach and put his head the whole day in the sand. It was really like a desert storm … (you can see in Diegos face … “can u catch my mean?”)

Not really surprisingly was that Froggy won the 2nd place. The whole Team celebrated her price a little bit in KTV.

The next morning we met again for breakfast (leftovers from dinner) and discussed the Sunday plans. Diego and Thierry wanted to visit Augustin for relaxing in his nice garden. Thomas and Family went home together with Kathy. Froggy enjoyed the morning in a nice massage. After a nice, relaxing afternoon with Augustin we left Taitong. After about 5 ½h driving we arrived back home. All of us had a lot of work to do … washing, cleaning up, … the 2 fast housemen finished this also in record time.

An other weekend with a lot of fun and new experiences was finished. We will now take a small break of training to get some motivation back and power for the next Triathlon in Phuket.
